Rutland Water

Location: Fishing Lodge, Normanton Park Road, Rutland, Edith Weston, LE15 8HD.

Opening times: 9am – dusk

Primarily Trout fishing (for beginners to experienced anglers). (Trout up to 15lb).

Predator fishing is allowed at certain times of the year. 

Predator fishing includes Pike, Perch, Zander. (Pike up to 40lb).

Lure fishing is only allowed between the 1st – 30th September and the 9th October – 31st January.

Visit the fishing lodge for: permits, boats, tackle shop and even tuition.

The trout fishing season starts on the on the 13th March and finishes on the 31st January.

Fishing can be done from both the bank and a boat.

Prices:

  • Day boat – £27.
  • Half-day boat – £21 (before or after 2pm).
  • Single manned day boat – £17.
  • Single manned half-day boat – £15 (before or after 2pm).
  • Sunset boat – £15 (after 6pm).
  • Winter boat hire – £21 (single manned £15).
  • Wheelyboat – £19 (blue badge holders only).
  • Day permit – £29 (8 fish plus catch and release).
  • Day permit £25 – (4 fish plus catch and release).
  • Sporting permit £23 – (1 fish limit, barbless flies only).
  • Senior citizen £25 – (6 fish plus catch and release).
  • Daily predator permits – £24.
