Cromwell Lake

Location: Cromwell, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG23 6JE. (East Midlands)

Opening times: March to October 8am – 8pm. November to February 8am – 6pm.

Specimen Carp lakes.

There are 2 lakes:

•  Cromwell Lake is an 18 acre spring fed lake.
  • 40 Carp over 30lb! With a few over the 40lb mark!
  • Around 20 catfish in the lake 2 of which are over 80lb.
  • Depths vary from 3ft to 18ft.
  • 18 spacious swims to choose from.
  • There is also a log cabin on the lake called Rosie’s Retreat with a full kitchen area.

•  Cromwell Pool is a 0.4 acre lake. 
  • Containing 45 Carp up to the 20lb mark.
  • The lake is to be booked exclusively with the lodge (max 2 anglers).
    

Night fishing available.

Must pre book.

Onsite toilets, showers and kitchen area.

Onsite bait and tackle shop.

Prices:

•  Cromwell Lake – £30 for 24 hours.
•  Cromwell Pool –  £70 per 24 hours session.
•  Weekend at Rosie’s Retreat – £330.
•  Midweek at Rosie’s Retreat – £440.
•  Full week at Rosie’s Retreat – £770.

Rules:

•  No fixed leads.
•  Minimum 15lb mainline.
•  Barbless hooks only.
•  Max size 4 hooks.
•  No braided mainline.
•  Random rig checks.
•  Max 3 rods.
•  Do not leave rods unattended.
•  Must be in possession of a carp care kit.
•  Report any fish over 35lb.
•  No dead or live baiting. 
•  Bait boats to be used sensibly.
•  No dogs, litter, tents or swimming.
