Purple Badger Fishing Lakes

Location: Purple Badger Camping and Fishing Lakes, Croxton Road, Beeby, Leicestershire, East Midlands, LE7 3BH.

Opening times: April to September 7am – 9pm. October to March 7am – 8pm.

2 lakes (Top Lake and Bottom Lake).

The Bottom lake is 17ft deep, 18 pegs and contains species such as: Tench, Carp to 9lb, Roach and Perch.

The Top lake is 8ft deep, with 12 pegs containing Carp to 25lb.

The Top lake also has two shepherds huts to hire for the night.

Night fishing is available on both lakes.

Must pre-book.

Onsite toilets and showers.

Coffee, tea and hot food is available from the onsite cafe.

Prices:

  •  Shepherds huts from £120 a night.
  •  Day ticket:
    • Bottom Lake – £8.
    • Top Lake – £9.
  •  Night Ticket (5pm – 8am):
    • Bottom Lake – £14.
    • Top Lake – £14.
  •  Evening ticket – £6.
  •  Day rate for the whole of the Bottom Lake – £110.
  •  Day rate for the whole of the Top Lake – £90.
  •  Exclusive use of the Top Lake for 24 hours – £200.
 

Rules:

  •  No bread or nut bait to be used.
  •  No barbed hooks.
  •  Landing nets to be a minimum of 30inch.
  •  No removing of fish from the fishery.
  •  Keep nets not to be used for Carp.
  •  Minimum 10lb mainline.
  •  No dogs, fires or rubbish.
  •  Don’t enter the water.
  •  All anglers should have access to a padded unhooking mat immediately.
